Winthrop & Weinstine is seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to work as a Floater in our Real Estate Department. The responsibilities and qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Provide floating legal administrative support for real estate team of attorneys, paralegals and legal administrative assistants as needed.Review, organize, assemble and scan documents in preparation for closings.Prepare, circulate and track signature pages for closings.Assist and maintain checklists in the preparation of closing books.Process and transmit client documents and materials.Draft and format professional correspondence and documents.Process document comparisons using compare with Workshare software.Process and distribute client invoices.Assist with timekeeping and process attorney reimbursements.Organize and maintain electronic files and process new file openings.Provide administrative support such as calendar maintenance, answering phones, and making travel arrangements.Each week, assist with coverage for part-time Legal Administrative Assistants.Provide quality, responsive customer service to clients and co-workers.Strong attention to detail, accuracy; excellent grammar, proofreading and communication skills.Ability to work within a team environment and work well under pressure with deadlines.
Individuals must have a high school degree or equivalent and have one to two years of legal administrative support experience. Prior experience working as a real estate legal administrative assistant in a law firm preferred.
